It’s time to choose our
clubs here at Bengal Institute of Business Studies. Forget chess club, it’s
time for much more activities! The Four clubs are – E-Cell, Applied Knowledge Club, PlaceComm and Chetena. The mentors
for each club have taken us through the club structures to help us to decide. I
have interest in photography so I’ll choose a club were I can use my skills the
most. Our academic head says that students who participate in extracurricular
activities are more engaged in college experience, and benefits both in and
outside the classroom.
The clubs allow students
an opportunity to make friends and know everyone in the campus. I’m excited,
coz I’ll soon meet more people with similar interests and have some great
time. My elder brother who’s doing management from Bangalore, was super
excited about this concept but his college doesn’t have this concept. My dad
says, joining clubs is one of the many ways students network and develop
lasting friendship. He was a member of his college club when he was pursuing
his graduation from Brussels.
